Return Policy for Watches

Repair Ticket Disclosure:

For detailed repair forms: The description listed is correct to the best of my knowledge.

We strive to complete repairs within 6-8 weeks of approval. However, significant delays may occur due to parts availability and issues that may present themselves during the quality control process. Due to this, we are unable to offer promise dates on timepiece repairs.

The store and its employees are not responsible for identification or condition of articles at the time of receipt. Any damage or loss will be limited to the actual repair or replacement cost. Insuring these items is the responsibility of the customer. The customer is expected to inspect the repaired items before leaving the store and be satisfied with their condition before removing them from the store. The store is not responsible for items left over 60 days.

Sales and Exchanges:

Receipt must accompany all returns and exchanges. 10 DAY return policy, no exceptions. Pre-owned, consignment, or clearance items are all final sale and there can be no exchanges or returns. 30 DAY exchange for item of equal or lesservalue. Any item discounted from MSRP will have a 30 DAY EXCHANGE availability only. Items are not returnable once sized, worn or altered in any way. Note: If scratches are seen anywhere on the watch or jewelry, Matheu’s has the right to refuse the return of the item. All items are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Warranties do not cover negligence including impact damage, moisture damage due to misused crown or broken crystal. If your watch is not water resistant, Matheu’s will not cover moisture damage under warranty.


All sales are final. No return, no exchange. Layaway period is for 3 months with 20% down at the time of the initial purchase. A payment must be made each month of the item with be returned to stock and all monies will be forfeited on payments received.

Special Orders:

All sales are final on special order merchandise. No returns or exchanges. 50% down payment required upon ordering.


Matheu’s will provide a TWO year warranty on all major watch services completed by Matheu’s Fine Watches. Battery and Reseal services will receive a ONE year warranty. Factory repairs are covered by the manufacturer repairing the watch. Any movement parts replaced by Matheu’s are warranted for SIX months, and labor for TWO years. Any case, bracelet, leather strap or other material strap, crystal, stem and crown, clasp assembly, or any part of the exterior of the watch is NOT covered under any warranty.
